I studied medicine at La Salle University(1999-2006). Later I specialized in ophthalmology (2006-2009), followed by the sub-specialty in retina (2009-2011) at the Asociación Para Evitar la Ceguera en México (Association to Prevent Blindness in Mexico, APEC). Lastly, I did an international fellowship at the University of Colorado in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery (2013-2014).
I am currently a professor of Ophthalmology and Retina at APEC, and I have the appointment of Level 1 Researcher by the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT - Sistema Nacional de Investigadores).
